

Robert Earl Leonard, of Weaver, AL, born October 6, 1953, passed away at his home on the morning of Monday, June 9, 2025, at the age of 71. He was known to his family as a hardworking, loving father, grandfather, and devoted husband. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 6:30 pm at Chapel Hill Funeral home. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 - 6:30 pm.
Robert was born in Alabama, then traveled the world as a child, living in Florida, Georgia, France, Mississippi, the Philippines, Okinawa, and North Carolina, and before settling permanently in Anniston area. There, he married Glynda and raised his two sons.
He was the owner of Leonard’s Masonry, a concrete and block business. His craftsmanship and dedication to building were instilled in his children, and his work will long outlive him.
Robert’s passions included listening to good music, racing dirt bikes, working the land, building, and proudly bragging about his children and grandchildren any chance he got.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lomon and Roberta Leonard; his brother, Scott; and his sister, Linda.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Glynda Leonard; his sons, Robert Leonard Jr. and Nicklaus Leonard; his grandson, Levi Leonard; his granddaughter, Liza Leonard; and his sister, Susan Wesson (Jeff) Brother-in-law Paul Parris and multiple nieces and nephews.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by his family.
