

Robert Terry Mason Sr 74, passed away on October 5, 2026 in Anniston, Al. He was born in Hudson Michigan to the late Roberta Marie Gibbs Mason. “Bob” was a proud veteran who had served in the US Army where he had met the love of his life Diane while stationed at Ft McClellan. They were married for 32 years before she passed and he never got over losing her. They had 3 children, 14 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
He was a hard working man who had a great love for Alabama football and old country music. One thing he wanted was one last family reunion although this was not the way we wanted it but he got his wish and was surrounded by his kids, grandkids, family and special friend as he took his last breath. He was a kind hearted man, never met a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back and literally loved everyone.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife Katherine Diane Mason, his granddaughters Heaven Cheyenne Mason,Leilani Cheyenne Mason, Katherine Michelle Lambert, and Summer Leigh Cartrette, his grandson Brandon Terry Mason, his great grandson Emmett Cole Lankford, his mother Roberta Marie Mason, his brother Jerry Rouff and his baby sister Dixie.
He is survived by his children Kristy Diane Rivas, Heather Marie Lind (Stephanie) ,and Robert Terry Mason Jr his grandchildren Amber, Breanna (Ricky) Ashley (Donta “Gooch”) Selena (Al) Makayla (Brent) Matthew (Kaitlyn) Michelle (Javon) Daniel (Nisa) and Hayleigh Bug his great grandchildren Malachi, Branson,Emmie, Jazalyn, Brooklyn, Braylen,Malaysia, Brynleigh, Braxton, Jerzie,Kambryn, Analeia, and Addy his siblings Vicky,Joe,and Carla several nieces nephews and other family he loved dearly as well as his special/close friends Sandra and Jack Sexton.
There will be a funeral service celebrating the life of Mr. Mason on Sunday, October 11th, at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Gray Brown Service Mortuary, 1329 Wilmer Ave Anniston Alabama 36201. The family will receive friends for visitation one hour prior to the service from 2:00 - 3:00 PM. Robert will be laid to rest at Oxford Memorial Gardens.
