Funeral services for Robert "Too Sweet" McCluney, 48 of Lincoln, will be 1:00 pm, Tuesday, December 24, 2019 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Bishop James Truss officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:00 pm prior to services at the funeral home.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife, Bergretta Miller McCluney; his daughter, Destanie Seymon Bradford his son, Robert Lewis McCluney, Jr.; his sisters, Barbara McCall (David) and Suzzette Green, both of Bessemer City; Vernedette Williams of New York; brothers, Joel McCluney of Lincoln, Darnell Williams of New York, Gene McCluney (Demetria), Demetric McCluney (Carla) both of Lincoln, and Terrance McCluney of Kentucky; his loyal companion, Law “dog”; and a host of Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews and Friends.
On the evening of Friday, December 20, 2019 Too Sweet answered his Master's call. He is preceded in death by his parents, Gene and Negretta McCluney.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mr. McCluney was a member of Little Jerusalem AFM Church of God. He touched a lot of people in a big way with his generosity and sense of humor. He was a comedian and was always the life of the party.
