Roger Dale Harris Sr.

Pell City– Memorial service for Mr. Roger Dale Harris Sr., 73, will be held on Tuesday, January 2, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Mr. Harris went to be with the Lord on December 29, 2017. Mr. Harris leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Anne Harris; son, Roger Dale Harris Jr. (Jaye); grandchildren, Taylor, Peyton, and Harper Harris; step-daughters, Beth Hembree, Lynne O’Neal (Carl), step-grandchildren, Lindsay Hembree, Laura Knighton (Scott), Patrick O’Neal, and Katie O’Neal; step-great grandsons Charlie and Jackson Knighton; and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Harris is preceded in death by his mother, I. V. Harris; father, Virgle Ellis “Pappy” Harris; brothers, Dr. Kenneth T. Harris, and Quinan “Bud” Harris; sister, Anne Pate Cullefer; and daughter, Dr. Jennifer Harris. Mr. Harris was a lifelong Southern Baptist; he was a graduate of Oxford High School and Auburn University. Mr. Harris practiced pharmacy for 35 years primarily in the Anniston, Oxford, Montgomery, and Pell City areas. In lieu of flowers family request memorial gifts to be made to the American Cancer Society, the American Heart Association, or a charity of your choice.
