Ronald Jack "Catfish" Allsup

Ronald Jack “Catfish” Allsup, 61, passed away Dec. 13th at his home. Mr. Allsup was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, AL and graduated from Jacksonville High School (class of 1974). Many of his friends and relatives knew him as “Catfish”. Ronald was a person that enjoyed life to the fullest and loved his friends and family very much. Survivors include his Son – Jack Dylan Allsup; Parents - Edwin Allsup and Emma Jones-Allsup; Sister – Bonnie Allsup; and Great-niece – Mila Scholmeyer all of Jacksonville, AL. Ronald was preceded in death by his Grandparents – Jack and Lizzie Jones, Wallace and Louise Allsup-Deason, and Niece – Elizabeth Hartnett. Services will be held at Gray Brown Funeral Home in Anniston, AL on Saturday, December 17th. Friends and family will be received between the hours of 12:00 – 2:00. A service will commence at 2:00 pm followed by a procession to Patterson Cemetery in the New Liberty Community. Pallbearers will be: Jack Allsup, Tom May, Joey Estes, Nicky Clay, Gregg Clay, Butch Barker, Terry Lloyd, Jim Knight, and Tom Otwell. Flowers may be delivered to Gray Brown Funeral Home or in lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the American Cancer Society.
