Funeral services for Ruby L. Almond, 89, 0f Anniston will be 1 pm Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Jonathan Heathcock officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 11 am - 1 pm at the funeral home. Mrs. Almond passed away on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at NHC.
Survivors include her daughter, Joanne Brown, grandchildren, William L. Horn Jr., Jackie S. Brown, Samantha A. Brown and Johnny Lee Horn, one great-grandchild, Thurman Heath.
Mrs. Almond is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Almond Jr., great-grandson, J.J. Brown and parents, Charlie and Mary Blackburn.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
Mrs. Almond was a native of Calhoun County and a resident of Anniston for most of her life. She attended West End Baptist Church. Mrs. Almond retired from Anniston Sportswear.
