

Funeral service for Ruth Christian Hutto, 90, of Anniston will be Sunday, November 14, 2010 at 3:00pm in the chapel of Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with William B. Kughn and Jim Harrington officiating. Interment will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. Calling hours for family and friends will be Saturday evening from 5-8pm at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hutto passed away on Wednesday evening, November 10, 2010 in Anniston after a brief illness.
She is survived by her loving son and devoted care-giver, David Franklin Hutto of Anniston and Boston, Massachusetts.
Mrs. Hutto was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred P. (Buck) Hutto, her beloved daughter, Freda Hutto, her parents, Oscar Lee “Oss” Christian and Mattie “Aunt Mat” Smith Christian and her chosen sister, Paula Borden Stephenson.
Pallbearers will be Charles Borden, Phil Bagley, Larry Gilchrist, Alex Marler, Mickey Prickett, Ronald Borden, Wesley Taylor, Fred Morrow, LaVern Barrs and Gary Poe.
Mrs. Hutto was born December 17, 1919 in Calhoun Country and was a resident of Anniston most of her life. She was a 1937 graduate of Anniston High School.
She was a former member of the Central Church of Christ in Anniston and currently a member of the Greenbrier Church of Christ. She retired from Fort McClellan and was a former member of the Anniston Altursa Club, the Fort McClellan Golden Bells and former Pink Lady at Regional Medical Center. A beloved wife, mother and friend, she will remain in our hearts forever.
