Ruth R Rice McClendon

Anniston - Funeral services for Ms. Ruth R. McClendon 89, of Anniston will be Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home with Rev. James Abernathy officiating with burial following at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends this evening from 6-8 p.m. at Chapel Hill.

Mrs. McClendon passed away March 24, 2013 at RMC in Anniston.

Mrs. McClendon is survived by her sons, Jerry McClendon and wife Juanita, David McClendon and wife Shelia, Frankie McClendon and wife Donnie; sister, Velma Hill; brother, Charles Rice; 5 grandchildren Scott McClendon and wife Heather, Amy Kinney and husband Phillip, Ginger Saccal and husband Shayne, Rebecca Weiss and husband Gabe and April Tucker and husband John; 11 great grandchildren

Pallbearers will be Charles Hill, Dennis Rice, Scott McClendon, Shayne Saccal, John Tucker and Gabe Weiss. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandsons.

Mrs. McClendon was secretary of First Congregational Church For 37 years and worked for the Government during WWII.

Mrs. McClendon is preceded in death by her husband of 54 years H.T. McClendon; parents, C.A. and Minnie Rice; brother John B. Rice.
