Sara is survived by her husband, Robert Coleman; her daughters Tonya Meshelle Cox (Albert), Kecia Christine Winkleman (Don), and Crystal Dawn Crosser (Justin); her grandchildren Hannah Faith, Tripp, David, Drayson, Jaylon, Brittany, Zephyr and Pheonix, her great grandchild Dakota and several nieces and nephews.
Sara was preceded in death by her son Bryon Scott Coleman; her parents William and Mable Johns; her sisters Charlotte Colloton, Nancy Brown and Myra Anna Walker; her brothers Jimmy Johns, Grady Johns and Charles Edwin Johns.
A visitation for Sara will be held Wednesday, August 2, 2023 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary & Crematory, 1329 Wilmer Ave, Anniston, Alabama 36201, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM with Dr. Jerry Cobb officiating.
Sara will be laid to rest in Eulaton Baptist Church Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers are Albert Cox II, Justin Crosser, Drayson Winkleman, Toni Spurlin, Howard Vice and Larry Goodson.
Sara was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church of Oxford. She was an avid reader of many books in her lifetime. She enjoyed sewing and telling stories of her fishing with her loved ones. She also liked to spend time bowling with her family in her spare time. She was a military wife of almost 58 years. She would volunteer to watch children for other military families while stationed in Japan. She had a great joy watching children. She was a retired LPN. She was a wonderful and faithful wife and mother and will be greatly missed.
