Sarah L Bain, born on April 17, 1948, in Alabama, passed away on December 27, 2025, at the age of 77. Sarah was a devoted and kind-hearted individual, who was known for her adventurous spirit and inspirational presence. She was a resident of Anniston, Alabama, where she lived a life filled with compassion, loyalty, and faithfulness.
Sarah was a gospel singer for 25 years, sharing her inspirational voice and touching the hearts of many. She was a devoted wife to her husband, Jerry Bain, and a loving mother to her children, Derek Frazier (Tonya), Jerry Ray Bain (Ruth), and Jamie Bain (Desi). Her family meant the world to her, and she cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren deeply. She was also a beloved bonus mother to Joy PoseyCorbett, Kelly Haris, and Trina Pettus.
Sarah was the daughter of Auby and Edna Blackburn, who preceded her in death, as did her brother, Bobby Blackburn. She is survived by her sister, Betty B. Rhodes, and her nieces, Tina Caudle (Greg), Jessica Denney (Jimmy), and Elaine Blackburn. She had special friends at Western Sizzlin whom she loved unconditionally.
A visitation will be held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home, located at 542 West 52nd Street, Anniston, AL 36206, on December 28, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm. The funeral service will take place at the same venue on December 29, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm, followed by a committal service at Anniston Memorial Gardens, 4000 US-431, Anniston, AL 36206, from 1:00 pm to 1:15 pm.
