

Funeral Services for Shelton “Ted” McCurry Jr., 81 of Anniston will be Monday at 2:00 at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Rev. Larry Hornbuckle and Rev. Chris Campbell officiating. Burial will follow at Edgemont Cemetery. The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service. Mr. McCurry passed away Friday in Anniston.
Survivors include his wife Jo McCurry, daughters; Teddy Hornbuckle (Larry), Taffy Cruse, Mikky Campbell (Chris), Merry Albright (Eddie), Billy Goff (David), grandchildren; Jeremy Hornbuckle (Marie), Glenn Hornbuckle (Iris), Destin Harris (Quinton), Brooke Hess (Matthew), Christen Campbell, Marcus Albright (Leigh), Kaelyn Albright, Bruce Goff, Sarah Jacks (Patrick), great grandchildren; Jordan Hornbuckle, Jessica Hornbuckle, Brett Hornbuckle, Grayson Harris, Sage Harris, Easton Albright, Everett Albright and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. McCurry is preceded in death by his parents Shelton and Era McCurry and his grandparents Sallie and Zim Magouirk.
Pallbearers will be family.
Mr. McCurry began working on a paper route at the age of 14 delivering to downtown and Fort McClellan, after which he ran an Amoco Station in Oxford for 3 years. He finally retired from his job of setting-up, repairing and delivering mobile home. He made many friends throughout the years and always told people he was blessed with his life God gave him. Ted loved working with his hands and enjoyed his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
