She is survived by her daughters, Shonda Talley (Ray), Tanya Talley (Shane), and Bridgette Magouirk (Brandy); her sister, Faye Fain-Hanner; her grandchildren, Jessica Talley, Destinie Kelley, Brady Magouirk, Logan Magouirk, Kyle Bussey, Koby Teague, her great-grandchildren Kaydence Griffin, Thatcher Lovejoy, Kinacyn Griffin, Nylah Bussey, Lenny Lovejoy, and Hendrix Magouirk; and her nieces, Chasity Fain and Jennifer Hanner.
She was preceded in death by her sister and brother, Jennifer Fain and Jimmy Gay; her parents, Harrison Gay and Virginia Fain; and her grandparents, Rena Gay, Nicholas Tancreter, and Mae Robershaw.
She completed school Walter Welborn High School, then later at New World Community College. She had many achievements over her lifetime, such as Employee of the year and a writer of short stories for children.
She was a devoted mother to her three girls and worked tirelessly to make sure her family always had what they needed. Her home was filled with love, laughter, and an open door for family, friends, and especially those who simply needed a place to belong.
She had a deep love for animals and a fierce love for her family.
She enjoyed the simple things in life, especially Lays potato chips, a Hershey bar, and a good cup of coffee. She reminded all of her family, "You aint too old for a butt whoopin!"
Her strength, humor and unconditional love will be remembered always.
In lue of flowers, the family asks that you sit on a porch during a thunderstorm, listen to the rain, while reading your favorite book.
