Bynum - Funeral service for Mrs. Shirley Ann Brown, 80, will be held at 10am on Friday, June 15th, 2018 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Corky and Patty Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Anniston Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 9-10am at the funeral home. Mrs. Brown passed away Tuesday in Scottsboro.
Survivors include her daughter, Denise Beal Myslak (A.J); son Phillip Brown (Cynthia); grandchildren Kim Cooper, Jennifer Dempsey (Matthew), and Dr. Aubrey Nathan Beal (Anna); great-grandchildren Michael Cooper and Ada Louise Beal; sisters Darlene Mitchell (Mike), Pat Reid, and Lomax Haynes; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Brown is preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Clifford Brown Sr.; son Clifford Brown Jr.; siblings Blondell White, Douglas Haynes, Ralph Haynes, Gartrell Haynes, Barbara Wilson, and Gloria Ford; and her parents Dawson and Velma Haynes.
Pallbearers will be Ken Reid, Greg Mitchell, Taylor Mitchell, Stan White, Steve Haynes, Kenny Paul Kirk, Brian Kirk, Pat Kirk, and Wesley Brown.
Mrs. Brown was a native of Calhoun County. She enjoyed spending her time with her family and friends, shopping, reading, and watching The Braves and Alabama Football. She cooked Thanksgiving dinner every year for over 70 people and made the best pecan pies!
