Stephen Hollis was known for many things: his infectious laugh, his unwavering loyalty, and his remarkable ability to remain resilient through every season of life. Throughout his years, he carried many titles: son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. But above all else, the title he cherished most was that of Dad.
Stephen had a heart that made everyone feel like family. He never met a stranger, was always willing to lend a helping hand, and had a way of making people feel seen, welcomed, and loved. Whether he was coaching his own children or encouraging the many young athletes he treated like his own, he poured his heart into every game, every practice, and every life he touched.
His laugh was unmistakable: loud, genuine, and contagious. It had a way of filling every room with joy and making it impossible not to laugh right alongside him. He was a lifelong fan of Marvel and DC, with Superman holding a special place in his heart. He also loved his bikes, where he found a sense of freedom and peace. Riding was more than a hobby; it was his therapy and a place where he felt most like himself. He loved his music turned up loud enough that you often knew he was coming before you ever saw him. He also had a soft spot for animals, especially the strays, never hesitating to show compassion to those who needed it most.
Nothing in this world brought Stephen greater pride or deeper joy than his three children, Destynie, Drake, and Blake. They were the light of his life and the center of his world. He also treasured his nieces and nephews, celebrating their accomplishments as if they were his own. And if you knew Stephen, you knew there was always room in his heart for Alabama football and basketball.
Above everything else, Stephen loved his family with his whole heart. Through every celebration, every hardship, and every ordinary day in between, they could always count on him. No matter the time, the distance, or the circumstance, he would come running without hesitation. His love was steadfast, his generosity was endless, and his legacy will live on in the countless lives he touched with his laughter, kindness, and unwavering devotion.
