

Memorial services for Thomas Knox “Tommy Triplett, 86 formerly of Anniston will be Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Ryan Robertson officiating. Mr. Triplett passed away Monday, December 7, 2015 in Bynum.
Survivors include his wife of 33 years Sharon Payne Triplett, two daughters Lyn Brown (David) of Anniston and Elizabeth “Buffy” Prather of Charlotte NC., stepson Joel Harvey (Ashley) of Daphne, Al., six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Tommy gained athletic fame as a standout at Anniston High School in football and track and extended his career 39 years as an official for high school and college football. He was a member of the Alabama Football Officials Association. Mr. Triplett was a veteran of the Korean War and served as a volunteer for the Department of Defense ESGR Program. He was very active in Civic organizations. He served on the Anniston Parks and Recreation Board and the Anniston Parking Authority Board. He retired from Sherwin Williams and Triplett Paint and Decorating. “Tommy loved life and lived it to its fullest.”
