Funeral services for Tony Edward Abernathy, 50 of Lincoln will be Thursday at 2:00 at Gray Brown Service Mortuary with Dr. Wayne McDaniel and Rev. James E. Abernathy officiating. Burial will follow at Green’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 3, 2018 from 4-7 at the funeral home. Tony passed away January 1, 2018.
Survivors include his daughter Jordyn Barnett (Richard), sons Chad and Chase Abernathy, parents James E. and Sandra S. Abernathy, sister Cathy Bonds, brother Michael Abernathy (Robin), niece Cassie and Caitie Bonds, nephew Jonas Abernathy.
Tony is preceded in death by his grandparents Leola and Louise Smith and Jesse and Naomi Abernathy.
Pallbearers will be friends.
Tony was born and raised in Calhoun County and was a graduate of Ohatchee High School. He was a member of 1st Congregational Full Gospel. He worked for Home Health for many years. He had a very outgoing personality and was loved by all. He enjoyed working with people.
