Piedmont – Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia J. Smith, 78, of Piedmont will be Friday, June 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Hill Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour before the service.
Mrs. Smith passed on June 2, 2015 at Dugger MTN Assisted Living in Piedmont.
Mrs. Smith is survived by her daughter, Tina Darlene Pettitt; son-in-law, Rodger A. Pettitt; sister, Glenda Stephens; brother, Gerald Kirk; Nieces and nephews, Stephanie Curvin, Eric Stephens, Chris Kirk, Vickie Parris, Rance Kirk, and Trudy Ray.
Mrs. Smith was preceded in death by her husband, James A. Smith; mother, Jessie Louise Kirk; father, Harold Ethridge Kirk; and brother, Larry Kirk.
Mrs. Smith was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County; was of a member of the Church of Christ and of the Baptist faith; and attended Anniston High School.
