

A celebration of life for W.L. (Bill) Cobb Sr., 89 of Weaver, will be Saturday, Febryary 21, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Gray Brown Service Chapel with Rev’s Skip Snelling and TR Harper officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends Friday, February 20, 2015 from 6-8 at Gray Brown Service. Mr. Cobb passed away Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his residence.
Survivors include his wife Trudy A. Cobb of Weaver, children Cheryl Hardin, Lynn Parker (Brock), W.L. (Bill) Cobb Jr., Rodney Cobb (Angela), Tommy Graham (Terri), Wesley Graham (Lisa), sister Mary Parris (Clarence), Brother Jack Cobb (Rowe), nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Cobb is preceded in death by his parents John and Rena Cobb, first wife Frances Cobb, his brother E.P. Cobb, granddaughter Melissa Dunn and Daughter-in-law Darlene Cobb.
Pallbearers will be Nick Cobb, Chad Cobb, Jacob Lowery, Shane Price, Jerry Holloway, Dennis Vaughn, Chris Ledbetter and Carlton Edwards.
Mr. Cobb was a WWII veteran in the Navy. He sang with several Gospel groups and started the Bill Cobb Trio with his daughters Cheryl and Lynn for 10 years. He was a minister of music at Faith Temple Church before he was pastor of Parkwin Day Spring Church. There he touched many lives through speaking the word of God. He will be greatly missed.
