Jacksonville – Funeral service for Mr. Wallace M. Hammonds, age 68, of Jacksonville will be 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2011, at Chapel Hill Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Deryl Wood and Justin Morris officiating. The family will receive friends 2-4 p.m this evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Hammonds passed away, Tuesday August 30, 2011 at NEARMC.
Mr. Hammonds is survived by his wife, Linda Deese Hammonds; sisters, Janice Hammonds, Patricia Stephens, Betty Glass, Mary Lindsey, Barbara Hammonds, Ruth Hammonds; brother Michael Hammonds; grandchildren, Justin (Casey) Morris, Jonathan Morris; great grandchild, Marrian Morris; and several nieces and nephews. And two special fishing buddies Hunter and Cole Beason.
Mr. Hammonds was a native and long life resident of Calhoun County, he was a graduate of Alexandria High School, a member of Post Oak Baptist Church and retired from Anniston Army Depot with 30 years of service.
