William A Pointer

Graveside services for William Albert Pointer, 91, of Munford, will be 11 am Friday, July 12, 2013, at Hillcrest Cemetery in Munford with Rev. Roger Young officiating. The family will receive friends tonight from 6 – 8 pm at Gray Brown-Service. Mr. Pointer passed away on Tuesday at his daughters residence.

Survivors include three daughters; Elaine Dunaway (James), Gay Franklin (Bruce), Dean Johnston and Margie Mae Butler, two sons; David Pointer (Judy) and Robert Jackson (Essie), grandchildren; Kimberly Dabbs, James Ray Dunaway, Amanda Pointer, Mack Butler, Tony Butler, Margie Butler, Cindy Butler and Ray Jackson, sisters, Frances Taylor and Maudie McCay, two great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews..

Mr. Pointer is preceded in death by his wife; Margaret Pointer, daughter; Anita Gail Pointer, mother; Maudie Ponder, father; Reaves Pointer, brothers; Edward Pointer, Bunkie Pointer, Gray Ponder, Bobby Ponder and sister; Sadie Wilkerson.

Pallbearers will be Billy Dabbs, Roger Dunaway, Andy Dunaway, Mark Dunaway, Matt Dunaway and Colton Dunaway.

Mr. Pointer was a native of Calhoun County and a resident of Munford. He retired from FMC. Mr. Pointer was a WWII U.S. army veteran. He was of the Baptist faith.
