Funeral Service for Mr. Willis Eugene "Gene" Brunson, 75, of Anniston, will be held at 2pm on Monday April 30th, 2018 at Gray Brown-Service Mortuary with Dr. Roland Brown and Pastor Eddie Beard officiating. Burial will follow at Forestlawn Gardens. The family will receive friends on Sunday night from 5-7pm at the funeral home. Mr. Brunson passed away Friday in Oxford.
Survivors include his daughters: Janet Brunson Edwards, Felisia Brunson Woodward, and Dauphne Brunson Talley (Travis); grandchildren Brandon Slick (Deidre), Chase Woodward, Morgan Patterson, Austin Patterson, Katie Muncher and Whitley Bryant; great-grandchildren Cayden, Carter, Lyndsey, and Lynnley Slick.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Sandra Brunson; grandson Brian Woodward; and brother Donald Brunson.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Slick, Mike Brunson, Travis Talley, Keith Talley, Jeff Walker, Byron Woodward.
Mr. Brunson retired from the Anniston Army Depot. He loved outdoor activities, including hunting, fishing, and running. He loved spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father, and grand-daddy and will be greatly missed.
