Winifred transitioned peacefully on October 11, 2025, at the age of 94. She resided at Diversicare Nursing Home in Anniston, Al.
She was born on July 8, 1931 in Buffalo, New York to the late Rev. Thomas J Woodyard and Mrs. Lonie M Woodyard. Also preceded in death her brother Ulysses Woodyard (1992), her sisters Ernestine Daniel (2007), Margaret Hairston (2003), Annie Haughton (2000) and Mary Simmes (2013). Her family loving called her Winnie.
She graduated from Bennet High School in Buffalo, New York. Throughout her life she took classes at the area colleges and worked as a secretary. She retired at the age of 79 from the University of Buffalo.
She was widowed of Ezekiel "Zeke" Brantley since 2008.
She leaves a host of nieces, nephews and bonus children Diane Pugh and Charles Gray (deceased) to cherish the memories they shared.
