Ann was born and raised in NE Minneapolis with her brother and two sisters where they remained close throughout their entire lives. She proudly raised her two children in SE Minneapolis as a hard-working single mother. Her children fondly recall her devotion while working full time and coming home to make them delicious home cooked meals.
Ann was very involved in her career, volunteer community work, and book clubs. While she was in Business Professionals Singles (BPS), she made countless friends, including the love of her life, Bill, in 1996. During the next 4 years at BPS, their conversations of life and family grew their friendship, trust, and fondness. With many mutual life values, they started dating in 2000. Bill and Ann married in 2002 at Zion Lutheran Church.
Bill and Ann shared their life on the Rum River in Anoka, MN for 23 wonderful years. They enjoyed bike rides together, walking their dogs, Zoey and Zola, as well as, hosting their annual 3rd of July party while watching the Anoka fireworks display from their backyard.
She is lovingly remembered as a giving, kind, and selfless wife, mother, and grandmother. The most important thing to Ann was caring for her grandchildren and hearing about her family and friends' lives. She went above and beyond for those that she loved on a daily basis.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Vic and Mary Grothjan.
She is survived by her loving husband, Bill Mueller; children, Rena (Chad) Henjum, Michael Sedlak; step-children, Chris (Mark) Woltjer, Paul (Bonnie) Mueller; siblings, Steve (Jan) Grothjan, Lisa (Gary) Hedberg, Laura (Stephen) Hengen; grandchildren, Sophia Carlson, Grace Carlson, Mujahid Sedlak, Hannah Sedlak, Layla Sedlak; step-grandchildren, Kayla Preloger, Corey Mueller, Kenzie Mueller, Tyler Woltjer, Ryan (Tara) Woltjer, Dana Woltjer, Laura Woltjer, Abigail Larson; great-grandchildren, Landon Woltjer, Addy Woltjer; and many other family and friends.
