Tony and I met in the mid-80’s when he joined our kitchen staff at the Galleon Restaurant in Montevideo. We hit it off right away and became great friends. I headed off to college in Minneapolis in ‘86, and Tony soon headed that direction, too. We ended up renting a huge house in St. Paul with a bunch of others, and then we all moved to NE Minneapolis to continue the good times. I remember telling him how badly I wanted to learn how to play guitar, and Tony offered to teach me (unfortunately, I couldn’t stay focused on anything back then, but thanks for trying, Tony!). He was that kind of guy- always willing to help a friend. Tony was a kind-hearted, fun-loving friend, and I truly regret not staying closer as life went on. We did get together about 12 years ago, and it was like old times. I was also fortunate to see him a few times this past year, and although there wasn’t much conversation, he still had that big smile I remember so well. Rest in peace, Tony, and thanks for being the good friend you were.

I first met Tony back in the fall of 1994 and became a member of his band for the next 9 consecutive years and off and on for another few years after that. True, most of my memories were centered around his basement and a handful of live shows, but they're memories I will hold for years to come.

Anthony is a great nephew to my mom, Rose Ruter Nelson.  When he was young, his parents and siblings would come over to play.  "Tony" had a great imagination and very creative at a young age.  My condolences to his daughter Natasha, his dad, Bill and his siblings. 

Tony and I were in a high school garage band together called Atlantic. We had a lot of fun playing at different functions but the one that stands out the most was the 1979 Willmar Snow Flake Contest where we took first place because of Tony's Elvis impersonation. I am truly sorry for your loss.

Tony and I played with our hot wheels and matchbox cars at the park across the street from his house on the north side of Willmar throughout early elementary school.  I seem to remember he moved out of our neighborhood and we lost connection. Praying for Supernatural comfort and peace for family and friends in this difficult time.

My sympathies to the Triden family on your loss.  I was a Lafayette Elementary School classmate of Tony's and then through high school.  Lots of good memories and fun times on Willmar's Northside with Tony and our friends.
