Arlen N. Ongie

Ongie, Arlen Noel, age 64 of Ramsey, died July 13, 2011. Preceded in death by parents. Arlen retired from Qwest in 2002 after 32 years of dedicated service. He was a United States Marine and honorably served our country in VMA (AW) 533 for four years. He was a devoted husband, caring father, mentoring grandfather and friend. His hobbies included auctioning, playing cards, billiards and collecting treasures. His spirit lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. Survived by loving wife, Cheryl, of 42 years; daughters, Nicole (Mark) Hedman and Jennifer (Jeff) Jindra; grandchildren, Tyler Ongie, Nicholas Hedman, Mitchell Jindra, Matthew Hedman, Morgan Jindra and Jacob Hedman; brothers, Rick (Therese) Ongie, Chuck Ongie and Kim Ongie; sister, Carolyn (Dave) Chamberlain; many other relatives and friends. Mass of Christian Burial 11 AM Mon. 7/18/2011 at CHURCH OF ST. STEPHEN, 525 Jackson @ 5th Ave., Anoka. Visitation Sun. 4-8 PM at GEARHART ANOKA FUNERAL HOME, 552 E. River Rd. and 1 hour prior to Mass at church. Interment Ft. Snelling National Cemetery.
