Cheryl Joy Bodine (Lundberg), 78, long time resident of Anoka, MN passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025 at Maranatha Care Center in Brooklyn Center, MN with her beloved son Eric by her side. Cheryl was born on September 25, 1946 in Anoka, MN to Gerald and Lorraine Lundberg.
Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband Frank Bodine, her father Gerald Lundberg and mother Vera Lorraine (Smith), her stepson Timothy Bodine, and her beloved granddaughters, Heather Bodine, Katie Murray and Ashley Murray. She was survived by her three sons, Brian (Susan) Murray, Gerald (Dawn) Murray, and Eric (Fallie) Bodine, four stepsons, Robert (Cindie), Dennis, Donald (Tami Rorvig), William (Robin) and Eric (Fallie), daughter-in-law Deborah Bodine, grandchildren, Becky, Allen, Christine, Jon, Tiffany, Megan, Travis, Christian, Noah, Emily, Billie Jo, Cole, Elliot, Bella and Liliana, great grandchildren Hannah and Victoria, and her extended Burns family.
A graduate from Anoka High School, Cheryl spent the majority of her life in Anoka. As a child, she enjoyed dance, piano and she was a participant of the Anoka High School Marching band. Cheryl worked as a medical transcriptionist until she retired. In her retirement years, she had more free time to shop on QVC, attend spiritual groups and attend her grandchildren’s sporting and schooling activities. Her grandchildren brought her so much joy.
Cheryl loved traveling around the United States. She loved visiting and sea shelling in the oceans. She had a special place in her heart for Walt Disney World, having traveled there several times during her adult life. Disney World was her happy place. It only seemed fitting that as she passed, she had a video tour of Disney World playing in the background.
