Chris was born on March 30, 1949, in Heilbronn, Germany. She grew up in Northeast Minneapolis graduating in 1967 with high honors from Vocational High School in Minneapolis. Chris married Wayne Humphrey in 1968 and raised four children in the family’s home where she resided for nearly 50 years.
Chris enjoyed music, old movies, current events, bowling, bingo, playing card games, the family dogs, and visiting with family & friends. She loved conversation, was easy to talk with, and a great listener. Chris was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who was loved by all. She will be deeply missed and always remembered.
Chris was preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Humphrey; parents, Tadeusz and Parania Hajnasiewicz; brothers, Ted and Tom Hajnasiewicz. Survived by her children: Jeffrey Humphrey (Kristi), April (Frank) Thoburn, Kathleen (Robert) Anderson, Rebecca (Scott) Bradley; grandchildren: Hannah, Ethan, Audrey, Grant and Gabriel; great-grandchild: Hayden; sister: Liz Rithmiller and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank Mercy Hospital 2East Nurses and staff and J.A. Wedum nursing and staff for the care and compassion they showed their mom in her final days.
