Dan is survived by his loving wife of almost 20 years, Nicole Heyer and their four beautiful daughters, Adalay, Elsa, Isla, and Urya; parents, Tim and Debi Heyer; grandma, Joyce Lutz, and brothers, Jeff (Sara) Heyer and their children, Joey (Tayler) Heyer.
Dan was born in Coon Rapids, Minnesota on March 6th, 1981. He graduated from Anoka High School and attended North Hennepin Community College where he completed his Associate of Arts Degree. He spent his career as a Correctional Officer for Hennepin County. He had a passion for his job and all that went with it. Dan had a love for his family like no other. He absolutely adored his daughters and wife and loved making a lifetime of memories with them and spending his days spoiling them. He enjoyed traveling, exploring, all things music – especially grunge, his friendships, sports, making people laugh with his dry humor, movies, holidays – especially Christmas where you could find him decked out in all his Christmas lights and outfits.
Dan made the world a brighter place. He had a childlike heart and brought laughter and joy to all those he met. He loved his family fiercely and had a steady love for the Lord. He lived out his faith and found peace knowing he would be healed and reunited with loved ones that have gone before him in heaven.
Well done good and faithful servant. We miss you SO much and look forward to your warm embrace in heaven one day soon.
