David Lee Schaefbauer, age 62, passed away peacefully in the presence of his loving family on September 1, 2021. David approached life with an extraordinary sense of empathy and benevolence. His light-hearted positivity and passion for life was unmatched and his legacy will continue to live on through the exceptionally lasting impact he made on those that knew him.
David was a beloved husband, father, son, brother, uncle, friend and coach. He is survived by wife Sonja, daughters Rachel and Nicole, parents Floyd and Viola, siblings Ralph, Gail, Brenda, Renae, and Jim, nieces & nephews Nick, Adam, Miranda, Derek, Shanna, Sheila, Mitch, Jeremiah, Keegan, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Kathryn, and Abbey, and many dear friends.
Join us for a celebration of his life on Sunday, October 10th from 1pm-5pm at the Elm Creek Park Reserve Chalet, 12400 James Deane Parkway, Maple Grove, MN 55369. We are encouraging the use of masks for anyone who is unvaccinated (masks will be available). Parking on site.
