Of Coon Rapids died on Sat., 1/11. He was born on 10/30/1940 in Royalton, MN. He proudly served in the US Army between 3/9/1961 to 3/8/1963. He was employed at the US Postal service between 1966 to 1992. He also drove school and charter busses for 8 yrs. He was a private pilot since 1973 and enjoyed flying, stamp collecting and volunteering as a coach and umpire for LLBB. Preceded in death by parents, Philip & Mary; brothers, Melvin, Calvin, Norman, Lloyd & Duane. Survived by wife of 49 yrs., Ardyce; children, Lyle (Cathi), Linda; grandchildren, Megan & Malana; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh & Ayden; siblings, Kenneth, Shirley. Visitation on Wed., 1/15, 4-8PM at Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home, 552 East River Rd., Anoka. Service on Thurs., 1/16, 10:30AM at Advent Lutheran Church, 540 East River Rd., Anoka, with visitation 1 hr. prior. Interment will follow at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
