ADD A MEMORY
Michelle (Shelly) Banks (Scharber)

November 8, 2018

I remember going to Helens house when I was really little 4/5 years old. She could crochet up a storm. And as most little girls do, my barbies were naked. She made a beautiful evening dress of a cream top and an aquamarine blue skirt. ❤️ I loved slipping that dress on my Barbie and her elegance in wearing it.

Helen was my Confirmation Sponsor. She made me laugh, in what was an anxiety filled rite of passage.

When I was in middle/high school, she had some life trials. While they made her question herself, she never let it stop her. She took on life on her own terms. That’s been a lesson I think about often.

And all the evenings she was at my parent’s house, just hanging out and having dinner. Lots of memories.

I’ll miss her smile too❤️
