Larry was born on June 23, 1952 to Arthur and Joan (Creamer) Williams in Queens, NY. He graduated high school in 1971 then joined the Army in October 1972 as active duty, where he was sent to Germany and worked as an Army Corpsman at a military Field Hospital delivering babies! Larry attended college and earned a degree in Emergency Medicine. He continued his 34 year Army career with the Army Reserves, receiving many Army Commendations and Achievement Medals, as well as Good Conduct and Service Medals.
Larry also had a 29 year career as a paramedic for Allina Health. He also loved Boy Scouts, and mentored many young men as they made their way to Eagle Scout. Larry was very serious about his military life, and was passionate about emergency medicine and Scouting. He was very dedicated to his career and passions and loved to share Scouting with his sons.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents, Joan and Arthur.
Survived by his sons, Michael (Katy) and Christopher; grandsons, Greyson and Nolen; siblings, Timothy Williams and Francine Quinn; and stepmother, Vivian Williams.
Please join us to celebrate Larry's life on Sunday, June 7, 2026, at Gearhart Funeral Home, 552 East River Rd, Anoka, MN. Visitation at 3 pm, service at 4 pm.
Interment will be held at 11:30 am on Monday, June 8, 2026, at Fort Snelling National Cemetery, 7601 34th Ave S, Minneapolis, MN. Please arrive to Assembly Area #6 by 11:15 am to join us in honoring Larry.
