

Mary Jean Nordlum Gibson of Anoka, died on December 28, 2017 at The Estates of Twin Rivers, Anoka, MN where she had resided for 9 years. She enjoyed living at The Estates of Twin Rivers and served as the President of the Residents Council.
Mary was born on March 1, 1935 to Clarence and Margaret Boley Nordlum, in Koochiching County, MN. Mary graduated from International Falls High School in 1953 and graduated from the College at St. Scholastica in Duluth, MN in 1957 with a Bachelor of Arts degree and was a school teacher.
Mary married Don Kent Gibson on June 8, 1974 at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church in Anoka. Don died in 2007.
Mary is survived by her brother John Nordlum and his wife, Lori, of Honolulu, Hawaii, nephew Michael Nordlum of Red Lodge, Montana, and nephew Steve Becker of St. Cloud, Minnesota.
Funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 4, 2018, at 11:00 a.m., with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. at Gearhart Anoka Funeral Home at 552 East River Road, Anoka, MN. Burial will be immediately after the service at Calvary Cemetery in Anoka.
