age 74, of Ramsey, MN passed unexpectedly on August 10th, 2024. He was born January 24th, 1950 in Detroit, MI to Robert and Helen Gilstorf. Bob graduated from Grosse Point South High School and attended Lawrence Technical University. In 1970 Bob joined the Army Reserves and served his country as a Drill Sergeant during Vietnam.
Bob married the love of his life, Virginia (“Ginny”), on October 29, 1971, in Detroit, Michigan. In 1989 and 1992 they welcomed two sons, Robert S and John.
Bob could fix almost anything, especially computers, cars, and any type of motor. He enjoyed traveling to the National Parks and, since retirement, had visited 19 of them.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Helen Gilstorf, and his sister, Barbara Koerner.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ginny; sons, Robert S (Jessica) Gilstorf of Tallmadge Ohio and John Gilstorf of Ramsey; and brother, Gordon Gilstorf of Attica, Michigan.
According to Bob’s wishes, there will be no funeral service.
