
Preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Sylvia; son, Dean Reuteler; brother, Paul.
Survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Irene; daughter, Heidi (Dane) Hathaway; son, Erik (Elena) Reuteler; grandchildren, Katelyn (Joey) Pribula, Lauren (Cory) Backhaus, Melanie (Terry Kalk) Barnes, Leah Reuteler, Tyler Reuteler, Azalea and Marlowe McKenna; six great-grandchildren - three affectionately called The Rascals and three lovely girls; brother, Alan (Diane) Reuteler; also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends.
Rod enjoyed fishing, ice fishing, cabin life, playing cribbage, buying Ford vehicles, traveling, and a devoted employee, never missing a day of work. Rod was actively involved in his church, HOAs, many bridge clubs. One of the greatest joys in Rod's life was his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was made endlessly happy by perfectly manicured lawns, waxed cars, great food and empty waste baskets.
Funeral Service 11:00 am Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Servant of Christ Lutheran Church (740 E Hayden Lake Rd, Champlin) Visitation 10:00 am until time of service.
Military honors will follow the funeral service at church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Meals on Wheels.
