

Ronald Pierce, 73, of Anoka passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on July 31, 1952, Ron lived a life marked by faith, hard work, humility, and a deep love for those around him.
Ron proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1970-1973, attaining the rank of Specialist 5 (SP5). Following his military service, he built a career as a truck driver, retiring after 43 ½ years. He enjoyed hunting, ice skating, Twins’ games, golfing, and especially spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and friends.
A man of strong faith, Ron found comfort in Psalm 23. “The Lord is my Sheperd, I shall not want”. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, humility, and sense of humor.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Frank John Pierce and Dolores Elaine Pierce.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Julie Pierce; his children, Jen Thomsen (Drew), Kelly Smith (Troy), and Joe Pierce; his siblings, James Pierce, Nancy Pierce, and Garry Pierce; his grandchildren; extended family; and many dear friends.
Ron’s legacy of faith, love, and service will live in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ron’s life on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with a short service from 11:30-12:30 at Anoka Legion Post 102, 400 W Main Street, Anoka, MN 55303. We welcome all who knew and loved Ron to join us as we share memories, honor his life, and celebrate the love, laughter, and faith he leaves behind.
Interment with military honors will be held at a later date at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Service details will be shared with family and friends when they become available.
