

Sharon was born on June 12, 1945, in Spooner, WI, to Donald and Ethel White. She graduated from Spooner High School and then earned a Physical Education degree from the University of Rivers Falls where she met the love of her life, DeWayne. Sharon and DeWayne shared 53 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2019. She went on to build a life centered on family, faith, and service to others. Sharon spent a lifetime making a difference in the lives of so many children, teaching elementary physical education.
Above all else, Sharon cherished her role as a mother and grandmother. She devoted her life to raising Brent and Bart, supporting their dreams, and creating a warm, welcoming home where family and friend gatherings were treasured. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she rarely missed an opportunity to attend their activities, celebrate their achievements, or spoil them with homemade treats.
Sharon enjoyed watching Packer football, playing tennis, and spending time with family and friends. She will be remembered for her kindness, gentle spirit, sense of humor, and unwavering love for those around her.
Sharon is survived by her children, Brent (Holly) Johnson, Bart Johnson; and her 4 grandchildren, Halle, Blake, Luke, and Isaac; and many nieces and nephews.
Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, DeWayne Johnson; her parents, Donald and Ethel White; her sister, Barb Anderson and her brother, Donnie White.
A visitation will be held on June 25, 2026, from 1:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 2:00 p.m. at Gearhart Funeral Home 11275 Foley Blvd. COON RAPIDS, MN 55448
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers and friends who provided comfort and support during Sharon’s final days.
Sharon’s love, wisdom, and compassion will remain in the hearts of all who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
