I first met Steve in 1979-1980. I was looking for a good construction inspector and Steve was recommended. I contacted Steve for lunch. I asked him where we could meet and he said Burger King in Anoka! He was never pretentious, but always fun to work with. When I did his annual review I asked him where he saw himself in 5 years. His response with a smirk was "in your chair"! I loved his honesty! He was so good working with contractors. He could present an issue for the contractor to fix without ever being confrontational! He was a great professional and an even better human being! We were all blessed by his presence in our lives! May his family take comfort in knowing how many people he touched in such a positive way! Our deepest sympathy for your loss! He will be missed and remembered!
