Althea attended a trade school instead of high school and became a seamstress. She sewed all her kids' clothes, reupholstered furniture, crocheted many blankets as gifts, knitted caps for soldiers and preemies, made and designed the most gorgeous and iconic Red Hatter's Hats, and enjoyed multiple crafts. Her hands were always busy along with her zest for life, traveling, and adventures. She worked as an assembler for Diablo, then Xerox for many years.
Althea is survived by the love of her life, Steve Hallgren, her best friend & husband of 44 years; her four children, Mark Myers (Cheryl), Arleen White (Terry), Ann Kooy (Darrel), and Marshall Myers III; 11 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, and many, many friends near and far.
Althea passed away on March 12, 2024 at 88 years young. She requested no services, no tears, and live life to the fullest! She will be laid to rest at her daddy's feet in Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Concord, Massachusetts at a later date.
