Gary was a favorite human being of mine because he was just him. He was himself, made no excuses, and when he did something amazing was so humble. 

I wanted to share the time I saw him being sad and he was talking about his wife and how much he missed her. He had the upmost respect and adoration for her. He missed her dearly. I can say I am sad for having lost a friend but I am happy because I know he is reunited with his wife. 

Cheers Gary! You are forever missed.

...so many ventures and adventures together over the past decades... Gary was a hero to me. One of the kindest and most honorable person I have ever known. He lived a good life and loved what he did and who he was with. A true champion. I am so sad that he has passed and forever grateful for his friendship.

Gary has been a great friend and confidant for years ever since I've known him.  He exudes what a true friend should be.  You will be dearly missed and God speeds my friend!

I was alumni director of NCSA for many years and a graduate of D&P, and I can very safely say Gary embodied the spirit  of  his alma mater more fully than anyone I encountered.  Thank you for your remarkable contributions always delivered alongside great humor and wit.

My boss, mentor and friend....you will be missed greatly by me and your network of "theatre marines".  You influenced so many over the years and will be sorely missed.   God Speed and keep the lights on for us.

He worked hard and played hard with an unmistakable laugh that was contagious.  Obviously learning as he went, he taught me so much.  Loving, laughing, creating incredible moments and so many stories.  I love you brother.
