Upon moving from Illinois he started a job with Northern Propane Gas and then Amerigas. The job lead to him becoming a propane carboration and conversion specialist. He produced the special effects fire scenes for the Indiana Jones show and Catastrophe Canyon ride at Disney and also some special effects at Universal Studios.When he retired he worked part-time for Lumberjack and then Ace Hardware. He loved horses and showed his stallion (Omar) at the Tampa State Fair and many horse shows in Ocala. He was a kind and loving man.
He is preceded in death by his son, Larry Wooldridge; grandson, Jared Wooldridge, and brothers, Leroy and Velven Wooldridge.
Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Karen Wooldridge; children, Tricia Murray (Bobby) and Randy Wooldridge (Tina); step daughter, Lanelle Berthold; sister, Rosella Remacle; grandchildren, Jeremy and Josh Wooldridge; grandson Michael Berthold, and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 12 pm on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Highland Memory Gardens under the direction of Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home in Apopka.
