Jim was born in 1940 in Loogootee, Indiana to parents David J. Snodgrass (1909 - 1984) and Mary E. Walker (1916-1992). He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jayne; son,Tom; daughter Mary (Barone); grandson, Logan; and brothers Rick and David.
Jim graduated from Warsaw High School in 1958. He was a proud United States Marine (1958 - 1962). He worked for United Telephone (which later became Sprint then Century Link) for over 30 years. He retired for a short while and went back to the workforce in the deli department at Publix on Rock Springs Road until his 2nd retirement in December of 2021. He loved spending time with his grandson, fishing, fish stories, Beef O’ Brady’s, chicken wings, hot dogs, war documentaries and John Wayne.
A funeral service is scheduled for 10:00 am on January 19, 2023 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Apopka, Florida. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the National Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (https://www.npcf.us/) on Jim’s behalf.
