Uncle Larry, You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure. You have made such an impact on everyone's lives. More than you probably ever knew.  I still cannot believe you are gone but I do know you're at peace now. 

I have many memories of you over the years .  Just a few that stand out are one when I was a little girl,every year on my birthday you would call me over when I was outside and tell me happy birthday and give me birthday money and say "don`t tell your sisters ok"  I'm not sure if you did this to all of us but either way it was a special moment that I didn't really know was "special" until this moment.  Another memory is your "foolproof ways" of getting ready to go into labor. I remember when I was pregnant with Emily you brought me a big bag of spicy corn nuts and something else spicy and said it would do the trick.  It didn't work that night but the next night I did go in labor.  Was it because of those corn nuts? who knows.

You will be missed so much, you already are.

One of my fondest memories of you is your smiling face. You were a man of few words, but a great listener. I never heard you speak ill of anyone. I know a lot of us wish we could be more like you. You were an awesome Dad to my husband Robert your influence in his life is very evident. I see your spirit alive in all that he does, your memory will forever live through him.  I couldn’t ask for a more caring, giving, and loving husband and father; for that, I want to thank you. You will always be in our hearts…… and always loved.

Uncle Larry it's hard to believe your gone. One of my fondest memories with you was when I was pregnant with my first child. I remember you told me jessie I know how to get that baby here lol. I'm like how uncle larry he said "you got to eat chocolate covered peanuts"....so I did nothing happened so he said "well now you got to eat pineapples" lol so I did and nothing happened...this went on an on lol and uncle larry was like well it was worth a shot. We didnt get a baby that night but we definitely got some laughs out of it......He always made us laugh.....he was loved by so many! He was an awesome uncle. You may not be here in spirit but you will forever be in our memories. Your wings were ready but our hearts were not! I know your in a happy place, feelings of no pain. Keep watching over all of us and we will see each other again when our time on earth is done. We love you dearly....rest in peace uncle Larry💖

                To Be heard, without saying a word, To Be hugged when I'm feeling blue, To Be understood when I'm feeling confused.  So rare was a DADDY like you. Your loving smile, and gentle laugh made all the difference in my life. Your endless wisdom, and timeless advice, Always helped me find my way. In you there was no equal,  You were in a class all your own. And because of all the love you gave me, I'll never be alone. It's an honor to have known you, To have shared stories and dreams. I'll always think of you smiling, No matter how tough life seems, Your still special beyond compare, Your heart so kind and true, I wish that everyone on earth could have such a AWESOME DADDY like you..
My heart hurts since the day I lost you. So many things I wish I could of said to you, before the angels came and took you away, In my heart I know your in a better place, it breaks my heart that I can't have you near each and everyday. As I miss you each and everyday, I know in my heart your not far away. Oh DADDY how I miss you so, I hold on to all the memories of me and you. The pain in my heart is so unbearable from losing the love of my life  for 38 years of marriage    and now you are gone and  I know that

I wrote this poem for Larry :God saw you getting tired and a cure was not to be, So he wrapped his arms around you and Whispered come to me. With Tearful eyes we watched you pass away, And although we Loved you dearly we could not make you stay. A Golden  Heart💞 stopped beating, God broke our hearts to prove he only takes the best! My favorite memory of my grandpa is our family get togethers. Every easter, thanksgiving, and Christmas we all gathered as a family to celebrate and spend time together. He was definitely a family man. A great father, grandfather, and husband to my grandma. He is gone but he will never be forgotten.

Larry is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Annette Campbell; his children: Robert Lee Champion his spouse Pat, Ricky Lawson Campbell his spouse Heather, Robbie James Champion, Sherry Lynn Campbell Desensi her spouse Tony and Duane Lawson Campbell; his brother, Jimmy Smith; his sisters, Patsy Hill and Carol Turner; his 13 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
