Margot lived a long, beautiful life devoted to caring for those she loved. She never let anyone leave her home with an empty stomach and found her greatest joy in taking care of her family. Born in Cuba in 1930, she shared a home with her parents, sister, and brother. She later married the love of her life, Esteban, and together they welcomed two daughters, Margarita and Ibis. Seeking a brighter future for their family, they eventually left Cuba to begin a new life in the United States.
A devoted Catholic, Margot was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Apopka for many years. Her faith never wavered, and her kindness touched the lives of countless friends and family members. We take comfort in knowing that many of those she loved have welcomed her home to heaven.
Margot is survived by her youngest daughter, Ibis; her only grandchild, Danya; and her beloved great-granddaughter, Giada. She was preceded in death by her husband, Esteban, and her eldest daughter, Margarita, who have been waiting for her in heaven for a very long time. We can only imagine the joy of their reunion, filled with big smiles and long, tight hugs.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and always remembered. We promise to honor her memory by carrying forward the love, faith, strength, and generosity she shared with all who knew her.
A Viewing for Margot Vargas will be held at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 601 N PARK AVE, APOPKA, FL 32712, US, on August 7, 2026, from 9:00 am to 10:15 am.
A Funeral Mass will also take place at St Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 834 S Orange Blossom Trail, Apopka, FL 32703, US, on August 7, 2026, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
A Graveside will be held at Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703, US, on August 7, 2026, from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm.
