Mazie Jane Gray (Huenser) Quigley at the age of 78 went to be with the Lord early Saturday morning, August 24, 2019 as she rested peacefully at the Isle Rehabilitation Center in Fleming Island, Florida.
Mazie was born on August 1, 1941 in Union Mississippi. Mazie was a twin; Her twin sister Daisy preceded her in death. Her parents where James People and Lilly Marie Gray (both Deceased). Mazie had 16 brothers and sisters. Her and her sister were only one set of the 5 sets of twins that her parents had. All her siblings preceded her in death but her brother Richard Gray and his spouse Voice.
Mazie spent the better part of her life with James Warren Quigley (deceased) as her life partner. Mazie was very active in giving back in any way she could. She was known for helping anyone she saw in need. She would help at the Cassia Community Center, volunteer to clean up the community graveyard or anywhere she was asked to help. She never would let anyone go without. She always had a kind word and a home cooked meal for anyone who might need it. And over that meal she would have some captivating story to share that would leave you wanting to hear more.
Behind Mazie leaves a legacy of a love. A family that is knit together through strength and perseverance, encouragement and trust and the knows that all things are possible through Him. This is what Mazie gave her children, their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mazie leaves behind 5 children to carry on the legacy to their families: Jimmy Rhodes and wife Debbie, Keith Quigley and wife Candi, Marie Seacrest and husband Larry, Bruce Quigley and wife Violet, Nelson Quigley and wife Lori. Grandchildren: Holly Quigley, Matthew Quigley, Christopher Quigley, Lilly Lyle and husband Austin, Jordan Quigley, James Couey, Chrissi Herron and husband Dave, Hillary Kufel and husband Mike, Cristus Jean-Paul , Emmanuela Jean-Paul , Ashley Morales and husband Rolando, Kaylee Fawcett and husband Nick, Julianna Sawyer 5 Great Grand Children Elizabeth Lyle, Elaina Lyle, Rachel Herron, Mackenzie Kufel, Zachary Kufel and 2 on the way Lincoln Quigley and David Herron Jr.
Services will be held on Saturday August 31st at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 601 N Park Ave. Apopka, Florida 32712. The viewing will be from 11-1 with the Funeral to follow at 1:30 PM. There will be a funeral luncheon following and all are invited to attend. Mazie will be laid to rest at Seminole Springs Cemetery in Eustis, Florida.
