Olga Socorro Ramirez, 96, of Forest City, Florida, passed peacefully on October 17, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She fell asleep into the arms of our Heavenly Father after a life beautifully lived; one filled with faith, love, and selfless service to others.
Olga was born in Leon, Nicaragua on September 26th, 1929 to Jose de los Reyes and Rosa Mendoza Mejia Delgado. Olga grew up in the hustle and bustle of a large family farm and ranch within a large working community family.
She immigrated to New York City as an Au Pair for a Jewish family then made her way to work as a caretaker for families. She married her love, Alejandro Ramirez on December 16, 1960 in Greenwich, Connecticut, had her children, and then relocated to Orlando, Florida in September 1971.
As a long-time member of Forest Lake Seventh-day Adventist Church, Olga lived her faith daily. She served as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Florida Living Nursing Center and Village on the Green, where she cared for the elderly and those in hospice with grace and compassion, always reflecting God’s love in her work until she retired.
As a devoted loving wife to Alejandro Ramirez for 64 years, she was also the pillar of salt to the entire family, a loving and attentive mother to her daughter Iliana Brown and son, Francisco Ramirez. She faced any of life challenges with grace, courage and as a proud and faithful Christian servant of God.
She will be remembered most for giving more silently than taking, enduring sacrifices for those she loved, and her unwavering strength that came from her faith & love. Always having a sweet but sometimes smirky smile with quick wit, and unapologetic humor. She gave warmth and loving kindness to all that walked through her home’s door. She knew how to give hope to the hopeless and reach the unreachable with deep spiritual guidance and always praised God for all of it.
Olga thoroughly enjoyed hosting for family & friends, cooking, baking, making fresh juices, gardening fruits, vegetables, sewing, painting, and tending to her cherished roses, gardenias, and orchids. Her favorite pastime was reading her bible daily, her favorite color was lilac, and she had a timeless love for fashion, always dressing with elegance for weekly church attendance and special occasions, adorned with her favorite perfume, makeup, and colorful scarves. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially when shared with those she loved.
Olga is survived by her husband Alejandro Ramirez, her daughter, Iliana Alexandria Brown and son, Francisco Ramirez.
A Celebration of Life service will be held on Friday October 24th, 2025 10:00am at Baldwin Fairchild Apopka, Florida. An Interment will follow at Highland Memory Gardens at 12:30pm.
Her life was a true blessing, her love immeasurable, and she will be remembered for her faith, integrity, and righteous, graceful living.
“Her faith was her armor, her love her legacy.”
