Roger Saint Cyr, 74, of Apopka, FL, passed away at his home on Thursday, August 20, 2020. He was born December 29, 1945, to parents Agenise Faustin and Joseph Saint Cyr in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Roger married Evlin Bryan on February 21, 1970.
He worked as a cook at Central Island Nursing Home in Plainview, NY and as a machinist at I.W. Industries in Melville, NY prior to retiring and relocating to Florida.
His greatest pleasure was watching his children and grandchildren strive for whatever their heart desires and surpass their goals. He was a life-long New York Knicks, Mets and Islanders fan.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years Evlin, children Rudolph and Shaunah. Grandchildren: Ajari, Jamari, and Jelani Saint Cyr. Siblings: Wesner, Ernst, Immacula, Patricia, Lucien, Clorraine, Josephine, Mary Marthe, and Ginette.
Visitation will be held on August 28, 2020, at 10:00 am at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 601 N. Park Avenue, Apopka, FL. Committal Service will be held on August 28, 2020, at 12:00 pm at Woodlawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL.
