Shelby Jeane Macey, 84, of Apopka ran home to Jesus on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. Mrs. Macey was a retired Administrative Assistant for Florida Hospital. She was born in Moultrie, GA, and moved to Apopka during her Junior year of high school. She was a proud member of Trinity Baptist Church for over 45 years. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Richard “Dick” Macey; her mother, Viola Cooper Plymel and her father, Berry Plymel. She is survived by her proud daughter, Laura Donlon, and son-in-law, Jeromy Donlon. She was the world’s best Nana to grandson Connor Donlon and granddaughter Peyton Donlon. She is also survived by her sister whom she remained close to her whole life, Linda Faye Stanley.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity Baptist Church in Apopka. Visitation for family and friends will be held at 10:00 a.m. at the church. There will be no graveside. In lieu of flowers, please consider sending donations to AdventHealth Hospice in her name. The staff of the Hospice treated her with the utmost dignity and respect in her final days.
