She was born in Hartford, Connecticut, on May 14th, 1961, as the youngest daughter to Charles James Murphy and Lillian Irene (Smith) Murphy.
Sherri is a graduate of Edgewater High School and Valencia College. Most of her career was spent with the telecommunications company starting with United Telephone.
She was an active member of the community-based organization the Jaycees.
Sherri was a proud parent of two great kids—Bradley and Jessica and was immensely involved in school and sporting events.
She loved the beach, musicals, and even a dirty martini. She practiced reiki and transcendental meditation for therapeutic healing.
Sherri is survived by her husband Charles M. Hancock, II of 40 years, children Bradley (Shawna) Hancock and Jessica Hancock. Siblings Gary Murphy, Colleen Kleczkowski, Lynn Russo, and Jay Murphy. And the center of her world, her two grandsons, Easton and Emmett.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 pm, Tuesday, March 8, 2022 at Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home Apopka Chapel, 601 North Park Avenue, Apopka, Florida 32712. A service will be held at 10:30 am, Wednesday, March 9, 2022 at the funeral home. Following the service, a reception will be held at the Hancock residence.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Chronic Pain Association or the Foundation for Peripheral Neuropathy.
