

Sheryl Holland (née Parnell), age 69, passed away on May 5, 2025, in Orlando, Florida. Born on November 17, 1955, in Cumberland, Maryland. Sheryl, lovingly known as Reba to close family, lived a life marked by unwavering faith, kindness, and a vibrant sense of humor that endeared her to all who knew her.
A lifelong believer, Sheryl was a faithful member of First Baptist Orlando from childhood. Her commitment to her church was evident through her many years of service with the children's choir. Helping backstage with many Singing Christmas Tree Programs. Even when her health no longer allowed her to attend services in person, she remained spiritually connected by worshiping from home.
Sheryl's dedication extended beyond the church walls into her home life. She was committed to raising her daughters with a strong foundation in faith and made it a priority to bring them to church regularly. Her steadfast example left a lasting impression on those closest to her and reflected the values she held dear.
Though PKD presented challenges throughout her later years, Sheryl faced them with quiet strength and unwavering belief. Her resilience and grace were a testament to the depth of her character and the strength of her spirit.
A proud alum of Florida State University, Sheryl carried her Seminole spirit throughout her life. As a clarinet player in the renowned Marching Chiefs, she found joy and camaraderie in music and school pride—an experience that remained close to her heart. Her love for Florida State was unwavering and became one of the many ways she connected with those around her.
Sheryl’s greatest joys came from the family she cherished deeply. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Lee Holland; her daughters, Kimberlee Weiker (John Weiker) and Kaylee Holland. Her role as “Grammy” brought immense happiness into her life, especially through the time spent with her granddaughters Hallie and Brooke Weiker. Sheryl also shared a close bond with her sisters Vicki Sumagpang and Penny Stone, Sister in Laws Kathy Holland Parris and Gwen Travis as well as with brothers in laws and numerous nieces and nephews who were touched by her love.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dale and Anita Parnell, and her sister Terry Parnell.
Sheryl’s legacy lives on not only through the family and friends who loved her but also through the countless moments of laughter she inspired with her quirky humor and the quiet strength she offered to others. Her devotion to those she held dear—especially “her girls”—was evident in every aspect of her life.
May Sheryl’s memory bring comfort to those who knew and loved her. A Graveside Service will be held on May 24, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Edgewood-Greenwood Cemetery 141 Edgewood Dr Apopka Florida 32703.
